Happy to report the snow at our farm is MELTING!!! Maybe spring is around the corner?! Well, I'm hoping it is so we can get many of our rescue horses back in training! Today they are all outside enjoying the warmth (44 degrees!) and are running free without their blankets on for the first time in weeks!
Ruby Slippers is back at the rescue to recover from a nasal discharge. We are hoping she will be all better by the spring and will make someone a wonderful horse. She is not available at this time due to her runny nose so she is just enjoying munching on hay and hanging out. Ruby has wracked up quite a vet bill this past week and we could sure use help paying it off! If you would like to make a donation to Ruby's vet care please call our vets office at 516-496-7727. Tell them you are making a donation to Project Sage Horse Rescue, they will take a credit card right over the phone! If you are making a donation please send me an e-mail so I can keep track! Thank you so much! Every penny helps pay of our vet bill for Ruby. The vets office is open Mon-Fri from 9-5. I thank everyone in advance for considering helping Ruby in her recovery.
Just want to take a moment to says congrats to Erika on her adoption of Luna, Sheri on her adoption of Sophie, Gaile on her adoption of Sugar, and Joeyheather on her adoption of Luther. Best of luck to all of you and best of luck to these four amazing horses.
George and Remmy are both coming back to the farm next Sunday! Thank you SOOO much to Gaile for bringing them to us! It saves me and Marion a LONG drive to PA!
We have decided to head back to New Holland on Feb 21st to rescue a few more needy horses. Unfortunatly our paypal is down right now but we are accepting donations via snail mail to

Now I'm going to PLEAD with everyone who reads this to please help us with our Chinese Auction. We are having our dinner dance on May 21st at our farm! We are so excited and are in the planning process. The biggest part of our dinners is the amazing Chinese Auction. Basically we need help gathering brand new items and gift cards to put into baskets for the auction. ANYTHING we will take, if you know anyone with a store please ask them for a gift card. We are also asking anyone with a vacation home to consider donating a weekend stay for the auction. Anyone with season tickets to sports games, anything signed by sports stars. Basically anything! So please help us brainstorm to make this the best auction EVER for Project Sage. We have already got some great items but we need tons more! If you have anything to donate please e-mail me at projectsagehorserescue@gmail.com.
We are also looking for sponsors for this event also, please e-mail me if you are interested in sponsoring the event! We are also looking for items for our goodies bags so if you own a company and would like to put a promotional item in the goodie bag contact me (ie pens, magnets, calenders, samples). This is a great way to get the name of your business out there!!!
Last but not least Project Sage is in need of wormers, himaylian salt licks, and corn oil!!! If you would like donate anything of this it can be either mailed to our mailing address or dropped off at the farm!!
Hope everyone is enjoying this warm day!!!!
