Updates!

Hi Everyone!  Just want to give everyone an update of whats going on at the farm.  We are having some extreme web site issues so nothing will be changing for a few days except my blog!  Justice got adopted, congrats to Kelley on family on adopting him!  I will miss that sweet boy!

Quincy was adopted by Donna and family.  He is now being boarded at our farm and is doing very well!  Dually, the white mini, was brought down to the farm over the weekend and is doing very well!

We also rescued a grulla mare, whom I now call Daisy.  Her owner was selling her directly to slaughter, not even letting her go through the auction.  Project Sage stepped in and rescued her and she now has a second chance!  We were also able to rescue three other horses with Daisy that are in rehab and I will have pictures and information on soon.  All of them were to be sold to a well known kill buyer.  They did not even give them a chance to be run through auction.  Some people baffle me!!!  But on the bright side they are now safe with us and will soon be ready for their forever homes.  Quick information on the horses...we rescued a mare and foal now named Holly and Stella and a paint gelding now named Shamrock!  I will share pictures with everyone soon!  They are in PA right now getting the love and attention they so badly need!

Back to Daisy!  We were able to bring her back to our farm this past weekend to get her started on her training.  She does need some weight but is doing very well!  We rode her today for the first time and she went around like a gem!  What a sweet horse.  I will post some pictures on my blog once I have a moment to upload them.

We also rescued a 26 year old TB gelding, named Legend.  His owner needed to place him ASAP due to a back board situation or he would be sent to auction. We quickly stepped in and raised funds to bail him and get him to PA.  He is with Kim right now being rehabbed but we hope to bring him to Long Island within the next few months!
